Knowledge Exchange
|
| Utilising our expertise in the development and management of transnational ICT projects, ERNACT has developed a computer-based project management and collaboration system called TeamWorker. This product facilitates a common view and understanding of each project and collaboration between European partners, enabling project teams to plan and control workplans and events, as well as share news and documents.
ERNACT plans to further develop TeamWorker, as a collaboration and networking tool, e.g., as a platform to support cluster development in less favoured regions. TeamWorker will support cluster engagement, inter-firm collaboration and the organisation and delivery of information services for clusters. |

Network Management and Brokering
|
| We have some 15 years experience in the development and management of a pan-European network. We are experts in the field of network management and brokering. Our various ICT projects involve the organisation and delivery of seminars, workshops, conferences and information events across the EU. This requires ongoing negotiating and networking with EU regions, as well as facilitation and information brokering expertise.
As part of our network brokering, ERNACT feeds into and feeds from ICT regional development strategies in the EU, which in turn contributes to broadband, eGovernment, eBusiness and ICT inward investment developments in peripheral region in Europe. We carry out regional needs assessments through our project development function and then work with our regions in developing ICT projects which meet these needs. The entire process culminates in the operation of an expert network management and brokering function within ERNACT |

Mobile Community Model
|
| This will be a “near future” model of what a typical mobile community in a smaller city, region or rural area might look like in the digital age, available as a service via the web, in a highly interactive form to public authorities in the Northern Periphery. Interested actors in NP regions will be able to use it to assist development of their own connected communities. The future viability of the service is high given that this is a web service, content creation is distributed and the promoters have significant “market influence”. |
