We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Caitriona Strain as ERNACT's new General Manager.
With 18 years' experience working in ERNACT as Programme Manager, Caitriona brings a wealth of knowledge and a track record of exceptional leadership to our network. Caitriona is an expert in European transnational, interregional and cross-border management of digital transformation projects and European Cooperation programmes, with specialisms in digital technology, energy policy, and transnational knowledge transfer.
Our new General Manager expressed her excitement about the new role, saying, "I am honoured and delighted to take up the role of General Manager. I look forward to working closely with all our EU member regions and partners, and Atlantic Canada, to advance the many exciting digital transformation opportunities that lie ahead".
Caitriona has a doctoral degree from Queens University Belfast, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Computing from Ulster University, and qualifications in management and human resources. She previously worked in various ICT positions within the private sector, including IBM UK. Caitriona’s visionary approach and commitment to excellence make her the perfect fit to lead our network into a new era of growth and innovation.
