ENAIBLER partner highlights that the biggest challenge in adopting AI in the public sector is the skill level and understanding of what AI can and cannot do
05 July 2024 - ENAIBLER  project
On April 16th and 17th, ERNACT led and Interreg Europe funded ENAIBLER project partners gathered in Donegal, Ireland for an insightful study visit. During the visit, had the opportunity to chat with various partners, including Ulf Hedestig from Umeå University, who shared valuable insights on what challenges or opportunities he sees in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) within public services.

Ulf highlighted that the biggest challenge in adopting AI in the public sector is the skill level and understanding of what AI can and cannot do. Since AI is a relatively new technology, public sector employees need to upskill and learn how to effectively use it.
