On 10th and 11th September, CEREMA (Centre for Studies and Expertise on Risks, the Environment, Mobility and Urban Planning) hosted the kick-off meeting of GRAAL – Governance and Regional Atlantic Area Lighthouse, the unique Interreg Atlantic Area ‘strategic importance’ project.

The consortium, that ERNACT is part of, came together for the first time in Brest (France) to prioritise the upcoming activities, including the launch event, which will be promoted in Brussels during the European Week of Regions and Cities.

The primary aim of GRAAL – Governance and Regional Atlantic Area Lighthouse is to increase the Interreg Atlantic Area impact on its key goals, such as environmental protection, prosperity, and preparedness for climate change. It focuses on improving the valorisation of the results of projects supported by the Interreg Atlantic Area.

The approach will focus on 5 thematic areas like energy, ocean pollution, climate and risks, nature, and sustainable tourism, as well as 3 cross-cutting topics: digitisation and innovation, circular economy, and governance.

Stay tuned for project updates!
